THRIVE Emerging Business Award Program
Empowering the Next Generation of Local Business
The THRIVE Emerging Businesses Award Program is designed to recognize and support promising small businesses in Clinton County. With the sponsorship of many local business partners, we are investing in entrepreneurs who demonstrate innovation, strong growth potential, and a clear financial need—helping them take the next step toward long-term success.
Program Purpose
Our goal is simple: Support emerging businesses that are shaping the future of Clinton County.
Through financial awards and community recognition, THRIVE aims to:
Encourage
innovation and creativity
Strengthen
the local economy
Provide
meaningful support to early-stage businesses
Eligibility Requirements
- Located within Clinton County
- Be established and in operation for 5 years or less
- Complete the required application questionnaire
- Participate in photo opportunity if in Top 10 finalists
Award Opportunities
These funds are intended to help accelerate growth, expand operations, or strengthen long-term sustainability.
Program Timeline
- Program Announcement: 07.01.2026
- Application Opens: 07.15.2026 @ 8:00 AM
- Application Closes: 08.14.2026 @ 5:00 PM
- Application Review: 08.17.2026 - 08.31.2026
- Announce Top 10 Finalists via Email: 09.04.2026
- Top 10 Presenters: 09.14.2026-09.15.2026 (5PM – 8:30PM)
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed and scored by a panel of community leaders committed to supporting local business success. The top ten scorers will be invited to give an in-person presentation to be held at AgroLiquid, 3055 W. M-21, St. Johns. Following the presentations, the selection panel will deliberate and select the top three awardees. The three finalists will be invited to attend the Clinton County Catalyst Annual Dinner held in late September or early October (TBD), where the awards will be announced and presented.
Evaluation Process:
- Review of submitted applications and questionnaires
- Scoring of applications based on:
- Business growth potential
- Innovation
- Financial need
- In-person Presentations (top 10 candidates)
- Committee deliberation and final selection of award recipients
- Announcement and Presentation of Awards & Photo Opportunities
